And through the rising and falling apart, We discover who we are James bit harshly into the rich juicy apple that had been placed on a plate in front if him. He munched absently and slowly as his eyes looked around the vast room. Swallowing thickly, James didn't glance at the girl who entered the great hall and sat close by, he simply waved his wand to produce some water. Eyes watching the liquid fill the clear glass, James noticed that he was much more of a half empty kind of guy. A perfectionist others would call him. In truth he had no intention to drink it since he wasn't thirsty but stopping now would require extra effort and that was not something he was handing out on a plate today, in fact any day.
It had been a long night. The weather was still slightly chilly and there had been much to do inside and outside. It was just the first day after his arrival to Hogwarts for his last year of education, and while he wasn¢t a Prefect, much less a Head Boy, he had decided to patrol the halls of Hogwarts since no one else would.
He had been up early, even before most of the other gryffindors. James hadn't rested through the night at all, but he didn't care. He didn't need to sleep. Besides, he had too much to do to worry about idle time, and that much was obvious as he changed into clothes that he would be comfortable in. Pulling on his Gryffindor robes, he looked himself at the mirror. Once he was settled, he ran his fingers through his messy hair and then shoved his feet into his black shoes. He was ready to face the day. Shaking his head slightly, he slipped easily from the common room and was soon roaming the hallways of Hogwarts. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary, and no one seemed to be doing anything illegal. He always made his rounds early in the morning, because most of the students thought no one would really be paying attention. But that was because they didn't really know him.
He himself constantly patrolled the halls and the rest of the castle. Sighing quietly to himself now, he continued his silent walk along the hallways, and then once he was certain everything was ordinary, he disappeared into the great hall. He had a lot of things to think about and worry over today, since lessons would be starting soon. As a future Auror, he would have to be extremely careful this year and study hard, which was what made this year slightly annoying to him. The time for pranks was over. Soon, he would have to grow up.
Thus, he found himself finishing his apple. He sighed and hit his head against the Gryffindor table twice. The absence of events made him feel bored even more than he had previously felt. Well, what did he expect? No student went down for breakfast that early in the morning. Right now he could count himself and that other Gryffindor girl whose name he forgot. He knew she was a fifth year, but that was it.
Sighing, he turned his attention back to his plate. . Hope it¢s good!

pulled away before your time Wyatt sat up and looked around the room; today was the first day of classes and even though he had prepared a full week’s worth of lessons he was always unsure on what to expect but there were students that he had taught for three years now and so far they have all done very well indeed. Pulling the sheets of him Wyatt quickly got ready for the day; he wanted to be early and being the head of Gryffindor he had to make sure his house was in order for the first day. Wyatt had hoped that this year would be uneventful but something always comes up at Hogwarts you’d just have to get used to it.
Wyatt put his robes on and gathered up his things that he would be needing for today’s class. He was glad that he only had a few lessons today before finishing up but as always there were those first years to teach basic defensive magic and there were some that didn’t even know about magic but they would soon learn it all in no time flat. Wyatt yawned as he turned into his classroom putting down several books and pieces of parchment on his desk before making his way to the great hall for breakfast he knew that no one would be there on the first day.
Wyatt stopped as he approached the bottom steps he could see the entrance into the great hall and smiled. There were actually two students James Fitzroy and an unknown fifth year girl. Walking over towards the Gryffindor table Wyatt smiled at both of them before looking back at James. “Seems you got a lot on your mind James.” Wyatt asked as he sat down on the table itself placing his feet on the seat. Wyatt wasn’t really your average teacher he liked to mix things up a little bit and being an ex Auror he was always on the lookout. And through the rising and falling apart, We discover who we are On a morning like this one, walking through the halls of Hogwarts felt more like swimming. The air was thick with damp that seemed to weigh on the skin, making sweat easy and clothes to cling oppressively. It was also laden with a smell that was almost visible with the naked eye, the sort that latched onto you and never quite seemed to wash out, staining the very soul. For all he knew, that was just in his head. And then, there was the quiet. It seemed that today, the world had been muted, with any sound coming only in half-hearted blurs that quickly faded away.
And this is how the world shall end, James thought, remembering the words of a famous poet whose name he couldn¢t quite remember. Not with a shout, but with a whimper.
James knew he was wandering. He walked aimlessly through the halls, passing without thought through the pools of grimy light and shadow. His mind drifted away, going back when he had first ridden a broomstick. James supposed he should have been happy about that. That he should have felt something. But he hadn't. He had felt numb, in body and mind. That numbness stayed with him as he returned to the present day as he walked the halls, feeling nothing, thinking nothing. He knew only that he needed to find someplace to cool off, to think through what would happen. Somewhere anonymous, and with the rain clouds gathering in the distance, preferably sheltered. After several moments, the Great Hall presented itself. He didn¢t feel like eating, to be honest. But he remembered several people saying that the Great Hall would serve as a shelter in times of need, for those displaced and looking for a new home. Even more, James simply had a good feeling about it, something that he couldn¢t explain. Hesitating for a moment, he threaded his way through the entrance floor and pushed open the door. Immediately, the light, the sounds and the smells washed over him in a wave. It was good to see that the world wasn¢t all dark, even if it did nothing to lift his spirits. He felt somehow outside of it all, as if he was an observer in his own body. Uncaring of the eyes on him, he made his way to the Gryffindor table.
So, he had sat there for what had seemed like an eternity before he was interrupted by none other but his favorite professor. The man had been teaching Defense against the Dark Arts for three years now, he had been an Auror, he was a Gryffindor alumni and the head of his house. The man had seen it all and done it all, he was the young man¢s idol. He managed to form a smile before Professor Wyatt seemed to understand that James wasn¢t feeling all that well. ”Oh. It¢s nothing.” he said, shaking his head with a fake smile on his face. He really didn¢t want to ruin his professor¢s morning with all these stupid thoughts he kept having. He wanted to protect others, and in doing so, sometimes he invaded their privacy, but he always kept his troubles to himself. While others needed protecting, he was always playing the brave and strong part that needed no help. But, unfortunately, that was where he was wrong. The words spewed out of his mouth before he could have controlled them.
”It¢s just that everything¢s so damn difficult this year.” he claimed, sounding exasperated and exhausted at the same time. ”You know, I kept trying to study transfiguration this whole summer but I just can¢t get a freaking hold of what in Merlin¢s name this subject is all about. And if I don¢t ace the transfiguration exam, I¢ll never be an Auror like you, which means that I¢ll probably end up doing something stupid for the Ministry while everyone is out there giving their lives out for protecting us. And all I¢ll be doing is writing a freaking leaflet about ¡why underage wizards shouldn¢t practice magic outside of Hogwarts¢.” He sighed at that point and looked down. ”I¢m sorry, Professor, it¢s just that today is really a bad day.” Hope it¢s good!

pulled away before your time Wyatt knew that something must be up for James to be acting like this; but it was to be expected for all those who ventured into their seventh year at Hogwarts everything seemed too much for one student to bare however they did this to prepare the student for what lies outside Hogwarts after all. Wyatt himself felt what James was feeling so he knew it all too well about the pressure of final year exams that Hogwarts puts you through. Wyatt smiled when James began talking about his feelings about the year that was ahead of him.
Taking a seat next to the young student Wyatt smiled before grabbing himself some juice. Taking a sip Wyatt turned his attention back to James once more. “I know what you’re going through James. I’ve seen it before in many students heck I even went through it myself when I was in my seventh year.” Wyatt began to explain as he took another mouthful of juice before putting the goblet down on the table. Wyatt smiled as he listened to James as he continued to express his feelings about his final year at Hogwarts. Transfiguration wasn’t always one of his best subjects as well but over the years he perfected it.
Wyatt nodded in reply before speaking up once more. “The final year is always going to be a hard one but you have got to have faith in yourself.” Wyatt explained further as he took another sip from his juice and placing it back down once more. “I do believe that you’ll become an Auror because you’ll never stop trying to get in. I myself almost failed transfiguration during my seventh year so I fully understand what you’re going through James. If you’ve got time on the weekends or after class I can give you some pointers if you like; just to help you.” Wyatt looked back at James as he fell silent waiting for a response from the student.
