[rs=2] | Personality Individuals use many different words to describe young Elladora. Among those words rest: vain, stubborn, prejudice, intelligent, rational, hot-headed and egotistical. The words chosen depend on who is being asked, but in essence Ella is all of those things. First of all is her vanity. Ella is the type of person who believes that appearance reflects one's inner self-beliefs. As such, she likes to look put together. She has perfected the make-up she wears and has a closest stacked with whatever she could wish. Even in her school robes she has to look her best. Ella is the girl who awakes three hours ahead in order to get ready. She is hardworking, stubborn and determined. She will go after whatever she wants and refuses to quit. It does not matter if she is right or wrong, once she picks a side there is little that can budge her opinion. Ella sees a lot of things in black and white. She holds the belief that purebloods are superior, or rather that she is. There are a few purebloods she would rather not associate with. Elladora is judgemental. First impressions are big with her and it is difficult to change her mind. She is very goal oriented, the type of person who likes to have a plan. Most of the time she is a rational thinker, however that can change quickly if someone crosses the line. While she is a good planner and is quite intelligent, she angers. It is not a common thing and it takes a bit to set off, however it is not a pleasant thing to behold. She can take being irritated and the like, just pushing her far is not an idea to be taken lightly. Elladora enjoys school and class, she wants to be successful in life. On top of that she believes she is better than most others. Only, if she flunks classes or constantly breaks rules then she is not showing that. Ella wants to achieve beyond her potential. Is now a good time to add that she can be a bully? A manipulative liar? How about that she believes rules should be broken only if you can get away with it? Elladora is a snake. Cunning and cautious. She doesn't trust easily. This girl has some good friends, but often times she has 'minions'. Those she pretends to befriend to use them. Those who give her entertainment. Now you would think that there would be more. A 'soft spot' underneath or something, but there isn't. She is actually shallow in regards to many things. She isn't the girl you try to change, she is the one who changes you. History A question could be easily raised about Elladora Flint, is her personality the result of nature or nurture? Well, does it really matter when both are pointed in the same direction? Elladora was born the second child and only daughter of Marcus and Pansy Flint. Needless to say, that from the moment she took her first breath she was insluenced by her parents and their idea of pureblood superiority. Elladora was born a year after her eldest brother and from her birth oneward she was doted on. Her parents adored her, as did most who came across the dark haired pureblooded girl. As a girl, Ella had whatrever she asked for. She had her parents wrapped around her finger, so to speak. The doting only increased as her next two brothers were born as it came to her mother's realization that Ella would be the only Flint daughter. Elladora grew up in a household were magic was a common practice. From an early age she was taught that magic was what made her better than a muggle. She was also taught that having pureblood meant she was better, for no non magical blood flowed through her. Ella was a stuborn child who knew how to get what she wanted. She was not the type to throw tantrums, rather she would manipulate with words and actions. Her life was normal for a witch. Nothing really interesting happened to her over her life. Yes, there was that incident where she attempted to ride a cousin's broom only to fall and break her arm, but otherwise nothing memorable. She was six years old when her parents gave her her first pet. It was the only time in her life that Ella had not recieved what she wanted. Ella had wanted a snake desperatly, however her mother felt it was not an appropriate pet for her precious little girl. Instead, Ella had ended up with a Hedgehog. She loved the creature, which was something to be said. Her parents knew she was a harsh girl with a dynamic view, only they had no idea what that meant of her heart. Ella seemed to care little for people in general, even her parents. Ella used them and that was that. The exceptions to that were her brothers, for Ella in fact loved them. She was not the type to admit love outloud, but she cared. A lovely little weakness she grew to loathe. Elladora showed her first signs of magical ability at the age of seven. In a mood because her favourite dress was in the wash, she sent a vase flying across the room, that day her mother took her aside. Pansy explained that the family had a special wand, one that was passed down from generation to generation. It had been in her mother's family for such a long time that no one knew how it had been acquired. It was passed down to the eldest daughter every other generation. Meaning, once Ella's grandmother had passed, the wand was rightfully hers. The trick about the wand, however was it's powerful core. Basilisk skin was not an easy core to deal with and it did not bond easily. The wand had house loyalty, but Pansy informed Ella that the wand might not work for her for a long while. It would only truly be her wand when the two went through a life-altering situation. A situation that would bind them together for the remainder of her life. At seven Ella had no idea what that meant and was simply happy to have a special wand that furthered her superiority. Her lesson would come, however. As she grew she continued to learn and thrive in an intellectual atmosphere. Alongside a tutor and her books she picked up skills in many magical and muggle subject, even learning several languages. Among these include the human languages of English, French, Russian and Latin as well as the magical languages of Gobbledegook and Mermish. It was discovered by her parents and tutor that she in fact had an eidetic memory. Able to remember an incredible amount of information with extreme accuracy. It is the reason why she was such a quick learner and found herself able to retain so much information. She was a quick learner and spent most of her time alone. Her parents thought, however, that she needed interaction with others and that was when young Castria came into the picture. Castria Hornwood was a pureblooded witch of the same age and the Flint's thought the pair would be a good match. Castria had the same opinions as Ella in many ways, the difference being that Castria had a dropped level of intellectual ability. Ella used this to her advantage. Ella constantly manipulated the girl. Every argument she won. With this Ella came to realize a love of control and power. As a girl Ella was always seeking to expand herself. She knew of many spells and often attempted them on her own. More often than not, the spell backfired. Her wand was not yet bonded to her. At the age of nine, the girls were about in London with their mother's. Shopping for this and that in the muggle world. Bored and curious, Ella convinced her mother to let the girls go off to by ice cream. With an agreed meeting place they were allowed and Ella scuttled off with Cas. That was when Ella got an idea. For a while Cas had been extremely jealous of Ella's wand. And so, moving go an alley way and plopping down, Ella convinced Cas to try her wand. Not only that, but to try a curse with it. Now the powerful wand was bonded to Ella's bloodline, even so it was a tricky thing. So when Cas attempted to use the cruciatus curse on a muggle at Ella's bidding, the curse rebounded. Ella enjoyed it. Cas knew who was the boss out of the two, but it didn't matter. That young girl rests in St. Mungo's still, permanently. She hasn't spoken a word since and no one has any idea what really happened. They know about the curse, but who would have thought innocent little Ella would have been behind it? Ella's heart twisted then. Not only was it control and power that drove her, but a touch of something else. It was decided then that there was no turning back and her wand new that. She had been stubborn before, but this was a realization of who Ella was. Since Ella knew and accepted herself, so did the wand. At eleven Elladora entered Hogwarts for the first time. She has never had a moment without confidence. She is great in classes, although she is not one to really participate. She keeps her abilities and grades to herself and most people tend to believe her a slacker. They do not know how organized and quick she is with her work. A lot of people think her mean and superficial, no one really knows the mind behind her. Currently she is in her sixth year. She loves all courses, but especially history and ancient runes. She is currently working on learning Troll and a few other human languages. |
