[rs=2] | "Okay so I just talk about myself here, right? Sounds easy enough! Okay, so, my name's Danielle although I prefer to be called Dani. I'm sixteen years old and was born in Ireland but I moved over to London when I was twelve. I come from a pureblood family although, thankfully, not the snotty, stuck up, prejudiced type. Both my parents went to Hogwarts, it's where they met, actually! Mum, Sarah, was a Hufflepuff like me and my dad, Michael, was a Gryffindor. They have this cute little true love story they love to share with everyone but I won't bore you with the details although by now I know the whole thing word to word. I'm not an only child, either! I have an older sister, Imogen, who is seventeen years old and a Gryffindor. She's kind of a pain and more than a little stubborn but we get along quite well. There's also my little brother Spencer who somehow managed to get in to Ravenclaw. Okay, no, it's not much of a mystery, the boy can be pretty smart when he chooses. Sometimes too smart, you know? We're all pretty close though, in Ireland we grew up in this little cottage in a village and we used to play with all the other local kids all the time, it was great. I miss it a lot, actually. When I was eleven my mum got this pretty high paying job at the Ministry of Magic and her and my dad thought it'd be good for us to move to London, I guess so it was easier for us to get to the Hogwarts Express and easier for mum to get to work? I don't know, really, but now we live in this pretty huge apartment in the city. It's only three bedrooms so me and Imogen do have to share a room but it's not much of a problem. I just miss having a garden and knowing everyone I live near and the local kids. Anyway, enough of that! Let's change the subject, that was taking a sad turn. At Hogwarts I guess my favourite subject is Astronomy, I can't really explain why but I just love it so much. I'm a bit of a night owl really, I find it hard to get to sleep and sometimes enjoy going for walks in the night, I find it pretty relaxing. I'm a rather unorganised person, my side of my room at home is a mess and my part of my dorm at Hogwarts is never much better. I usually end up late no matter what which can cause problems, especially at school. I try to work hard though and I'm pretty smart I think, I get good grades at least. Teachers tell me I'm a "practical thinker" and that I'm good at solving problems, I guess that's why I always end up playing peacemaker for my friends. According to Imogen I can be pretty sarcastic and I'm sort of intolerant of other peoples views which certainly isn't the best thing. I just find it hard to agree with people who don't... agree with me? Okay that sounds bad lets, urm, yes lets talk about something else. Oh, quidditch! I absolutely love quidditch, it's my favourite sport, apart from swimming, and I dare say I'm pretty good at it too. I've been learning to fly since I was ten, my grandparents bought me a broom for my birthday and it was the best present I ever got. I also really like photography and I've been learning a lot about the muggle cameras which are really quite fascinating! I'd love to do something with photography when I'm older, whether it'd be with wizarding cameras or muggle ones. I don't really know what else to say to be honest so, yes, that's me!" |
